Carl Futcher

Carl, a well known face in UK plastics, began his career at 21 as a sales engineer at injection moulding machine supplier Sandretto (now ROMI), later progressing to Sales Director.  He later moved on to become Managing Director of competing machine manufacturer Negri Bossi.

After 14 very successful years at Negri Bossi, Carl took on the challenge of starting his own business, PlastikCity, promoting the plastics industry and the excellent suppliers operating within it. He also started a sister company, PlastikMedia (www.plastikmedia.co.uk), specialising in delivering industry news and providing digital marketing services to partners within the plastic manufacturing sector.

From Glasto to Plasto:
The Biggest Stage in UK Plastics

The Festival of Polymer Innovation isn’t like a typical festival, where you’re slightly disappointed if a band just play their latest album and not the old classics… It’s all about showcasing future hits.

We actively invite polymer industry influencers to bring their most innovative ideas to one of the biggest stages in UK manufacturing.

Each presenter has 20 minutes to deliver their latest solutions in a dynamic and succinct manner, all kept to time by a compere. We have encouraged speakers to make full use of the impressive AV technology and expansive space at The Heart of England events Centre to support them to deliver their message.

Many of our mainstage presenters will also be present as an exhibitor at the event, so if you have any questions that still remain unanswered after their talk, they will be easy to find later.

Our line-up so far is already set to impress, featuring everything from edible materials and climate positive solutions through to advanced compounds designed for extreme conditions. Leading machinery suppliers will also demonstrate how innovations in material handling, process cooling, and intelligent machinery systems can be integrated seamlessly with polymer applications.

The mainstage provides one of the most impressive platforms for plastics industry influencers, featuring high-end AV technology that is sure to get presenters point across clearly.
